Intended Use
Scribex™ and Penso™ are precision marking and reference tools designed for use in woodworking, cabinetry, joinery and installation applications.
These products are intended to assist with marking and referencing tasks and must not be considered safety devices or substitutes for proper measurement, inspection or safe working practices.
User Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for verifying all measurements, markings, dimensions and installation requirements before cutting, machining, fitting or installing materials.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
Product Variations
Products may contain minor cosmetic variations, colour differences, layer lines or surface imperfections resulting from the manufacturing process.
Such variations do not affect the intended function of the product and are not considered defects.
Inspection Before Use
Products should be inspected before each use.
Any product showing signs of damage, excessive wear, cracking, deformation or misuse should be removed from service immediately.
Not a Certified Measuring Instrument
Unless specifically stated otherwise, Scribex™ and Penso™ are marking and reference aids only and are not certified measuring instruments.
Users must independently verify critical measurements and dimensions.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CMC Interiors’ total liability arising from the use of Scribex™, Penso™, or associated products shall be limited to the original purchase price paid for the product.
Consequential Loss Exclusion
CMC Interiors shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special or economic loss, including loss of profit, business interruption, wasted materials, installation costs or replacement costs arising from the use of the products.
Age Restriction
Products are intended for competent adults and professional users.
They are not toys and should be kept out of reach of children.
Product Modifications
Any modification, alteration, misuse or unauthorised adaptation of the product immediately voids all warranties and liabilities.
CMC Interiors accepts no responsibility for products that have been modified after purchase.
Intellectual Property
Scribex™, Penso™, all associated designs, models, CAD files, photographs, videos, trademarks and branding remain the intellectual property of CMC Interiors.
No part of these products, designs or materials may be copied, reproduced, reverse engineered, commercially manufactured or distributed without prior written permission.
Compatibility
Users are responsible for confirming compatibility with their tools, connectors, pencils, materials and working methods before use.
Wear & Tear
Products are workshop tools and may wear over time.
Users should regularly inspect products and discontinue use if wear, deformation, cracking or damage is present.
Warranty
CMC Interiors provides a limited warranty against manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.
This warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Accidental damage
- Misuse
- Product modification
- Improper storage
- Incorrect installation or handling
CMC Interiors reserves the right to inspect any warranty claim before approving a replacement, repair or refund.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands.
Any disputes arising from the purchase or use of CMC Interiors products shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jersey.
